This is my second bowl. It is about 5 inches wide and 5 inches tall. It has a flared lip to add some character. I glazed this bowl with a dandelion yellow. I tried a new glazing technique where I slowly spun the bowl on a wheel and gently added some brush strokes to the bowl. I think that it turned out ok but the brush strokes weren't as distinct as I wanted them to be. I think that I will try this with another glaze color. I really like the shape and the size of this bowl.
This is my first bowl project. It is about 5 inches wide and 5 inches tall. It is very simple and it has a very simple shape. For the glaze, I used a base coat of white and then layered black glaze on top to create this blue color. I really liked how it turned out. I like this project because it looks very earth-like and it is very simple. It has a very smooth texture.
This is an extra project that I made. It is about 5 inches tall and the base is about 3 inches in diameter. I really liked how this vase has a cone shape to it. I like how the small neck makes it look simple but adds character. Because the body of the vase was so simple, I tried a new intricate glaze technique. I used a bubble glaze which added texture to the project. I layered the bubble glazes with a blue glaze and then a black glaze on top of that.
