This is my group coil project. My partners were Lewis and Aiyanna. We created this coil pot for Mr. Wieburg so that he could organize his stamps. It is about 5 inches tall and 3 inches wide.. We glazed it with dark cobalt and shadow green. We carved a "W" into the side for negative space.

This is my first bowl project. It is a medium height and it has smooth curves near the lip of the bowl. It is 4.5 inches wide by 2.5 inches in height. It is glazed with dark cobalt and white. I used dark cobalt as a base color, then I dipped the top of the bowl in white glaze and allowed it to drip down onto the dark cobalt creating a light blue color.I used value to emphasize movement in my project. I enjoy this project because it is peaceful and simple.
This is my first bowl project of this semester. it is wide and round. It is about 4.5 inches wide and 3 inches in height. It has a relatively smooth surface. The colors that I used to glaze this bowl were white, black and dark cobalt. The method of glazing that I used was dipping so that there would be overlapping of colors, definitive lines and color blocks. I learned about how overlapping glazes creates new shades and colors. I used color to emphasize contrast. I like this piece because it is calming.
